Working Groups

The establishment and facilitation of thematic working groups on technical issues and topics that are of interest to a larger number of grant projects will be an important line of action throughout programme implementation. These working groups will bring together professional staff from the grant project partners, their associates and stakeholders from institutions or organisations at national level, and from networks active in the same thematic area.

A number of thematic workshops, seminars or other events will be organised and facilitated with inputs from the CIUDAD Supporting Mechanism core team and its pool of short-term experts. The thematic networking pages on this website will provide news and information from CIUDAD grant projects participating in the thematic working groups with information on other relevant programmes and networks in the EU, the ENPI region and at national level in the partner countries.

Energy Efficiency

This Thematic Working Group will promote the exchange of information among the four CIUDAD grant projects that are working on energy efficiency issues as one of the key themes of the CIUDAD programme.

Solid Waste Management

 This thematic working group  brings together the three CIUDAD grant projects working on solid waste management, which is a major challenge for many local authorities in the ENPI South region. 

Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Tourism

The third thematic working group will provide a forum for exchanging concepts, information and experience among the three CIUDAD grant projects working on cultural heritage issues and the three projects addressing the theme of sustainable tourism.
