Capacity Building
As part of the technical assistance to the CIUDAD grant projects, the CIUDAD Supporting Mechanism has planned a number of training workshops. These shall help the project partners in practical issues at the early stages of project implementation such as assuring appropriate financial management and reporting, updating and adjusting project planning, and ensuring the visibility of project actions.
 The first training courses organised by the CIUDAD Supporting Mechanism addressed the issues of financial management and procurement in the context of the CIUDAD grant projects.

 This training provided guidance and support for the preparation the first interim reports due for most grant projects at the end of the first year of implementation. It also helped the project partners in updating and adjusting their plans of action until the end of the project implementation.

 A series of three training workshops on communication and visibility issues has been held in Cairo, Sousse and Ramallah respectively on the 30-31/05/2011, 14-15/06/2011 and 12/07/2011.
